Each validation adds to your score
When a peer validates one of your portfolio items, your Trust Score increases. The more validations you receive, the higher your score.
Who validates you matters
A validation from a peer with a high Trust Score carries more weight than one from a new account. This prevents inflation and keeps the signal meaningful.
Industry matching
Validations count more when they come from peers in the same industry as the work being validated. A designer validating design work signals more than a cross-industry validation.
It only goes up
Trust Scores don't decrease. Once earned, a validation is permanent. Your score reflects your cumulative reputation — not a snapshot.
Verified badge
Separately, a Verified badge can be earned through manual review by the FolioVal team. It confirms your professional identity, not just your peer recognition.
